Alright guys – let’s talk about this floral jumpsuit. My extreme love for it comes with a bit of a backstory (with some good ol’ nostalgia thrown in!).

When I was little (probably around 3 or 4), I went through this phase where all I wanted to wear was this little orange dress that I had. There are photos of me that probably span at least a year, where I’m literally always wearing this dress. At the beach. At home. On the playground. In the sandbox. It didn’t matter where I was or what I was doing – I just wanted to wear that orange dress. It’s funny, because around this same time period I actually claimed that my favorite color was red (despite my love for my orange dress) – so much so, that my parents bought me this book, all about this little girl Ann and how much she loved the color red.

So, why am I telling you this, you ask? Because nowadays, orange and red are probably the colors that I wear and like the least. And yet, here I am, wearing this orange-red floral jumpsuit that has somehow become one of my favorite things that I’ve ever worn. It’s funny how people change over time – and yet, old habits die hard I guess! Because here I am 20+ years later, equally obsessed with this orange(ish) jumpsuit as I was with my little orange dress so many years ago. So, cue all the pictures of me wearing my adult equivalent to the orange dress I had when I was a kid. 😉

Now, I don’t know what it is that I loved so much about my little orange dress when I was a kid, but I have to assume that I probably liked how comfortable I was in it…hence me wearing it all the time. I’ve always been a bit of a comfort over style junkie – Daniel tries to embarrass me by telling people that I put on sweatpants the second I come home, superhero style…aka that I can “suit up” into them in 2 seconds. #noshame

All this to say – y’all. This. Floral. Jumpsuit. Is. So. Flippin. Comfortable! And comfort matters to me – which means I obviously love it all the more. Also, let’s be honest, wearing anything around NYC is basically the ultimate test for comfort – which is exactly what I did with this jumpsuit. If you can walk around wearing something all day in the concrete jungle and still be comfortable, then it’s definitely a piece to hold onto. I linked to the exact jumpsuit in the yellow links above (along with some other similar products) in case you want to check it out!

Let me know what you think of this outfit below – would you wear it too? Hope your week is off to a great start!
