I don’t know what’s in the water, but these past few months I’ve been all about a good 70’s throwback outfit. The thing is, if you would’ve asked me what my least favorite decade was style-wise in recent years, the 70’s would’ve been my definite answer, without even a second thought. Think about it. The corduroy. The insane overuse of psychedelic prints. The feathered hair (on men especially#nah). The rusty muted tones. The bell bottoms. Yuck!

Fast forward to…now, and strangely enough, some of these former retro styles have become some of my favorite go-to’s in recent months. Earlier this year I got this insane hankering for a pair of bell bottoms (I literally don’t know where it came from, but I was a woman on a mission) – and ever since then it has been on. Bellbottoms galore. Printed kimonos. Rusty muted tones!! I can’t get enough of any of it. Who have I become? I truly don’t even know anymore! But when you know what you wanna wear, you’ve gotta go with it – trends or former opinions be damned!

Now remember that hankering I said I had for some bellbottoms earlier this year? Well, once I got the bellbottoms I was truly 70’s frenzied. And I had that same overwhelming need for…you guessed it. This full on denim jumpsuit. I hopped on Google like a madwoman, and of course…Target came to the rescue. Doesn’t it always? Anyway, the rest, as they say, is history. Me and my denim jumpsuit will be busy living out our 70’s style dreams if anyone needs us…

Is anyone else geeking out over the 70’s lately? What’s your favorite 70’s inspired trend?

xx. grace
